Beulah
Ann Street, Wern

In August 1874, the Revd Richard Evans, from Yorkshire Street Baptist Church in Burnley was invited to become Greenfield’s next minister.
Early in his ministry the church purchased land in the Wern district as a site for a branch school and in May 1879 Beulah, a plain little building in Anne Street, was opened.
In 1919 the members of Greenfield Chapel were approached with a view to Beulah being purchased.
In 1941 a local industrial firm offered to buy the building and Beulah’s 62 year service came to an end.
