Wind Street
This Wesleyan chapel, built circa 1781, was the first Nonconformist Chapel to be built in Llanelli. Adulam was the oldest Nonconformist chapel in the area, but was in the village of Felinfoel and was not considered to be in the town of Llanelli.
The Welsh-speaking Wesleyan faithful, held their services in a house in Marine Street, Seaside and Jabez Bunting, a friend of James Buckley, came to Llanelli for the purpose of opening the new chapel on 8 July 1838. A full report appeared in The Cambrian of 14 July 1838 stating that "Jabez Bunting preached at the opening and again on the Monday evening".
When Hall Street Wesleyan Church was built in 1856 the English speaking members moved in. The Welsh members moved from Seaside and called their new house of worship Jerusalem.
Jerusalem was eventually demolished to make way for road improvements at Gelli Onn.
