February 2010 Launch of History of Loughor Boating Club CD
The launch took place at Loughor Boating Club on Saturday 20th February. The Clubhouse was packed and much interest was evident. A short speech welcomed Edwina Hart, MP for Gower; Martin Caton, MP for Gower; Mayor Sian Davies and Rev Anthony Davies, of Llwchwr Town Council; Councillors Ireen & Peter James, and E. Davies; and club members and guests.
The Author then introduced the Cd and gave an outline of its contents - with sample pages being viewed on a large screen TV.
Meiros Publications, producers of the Cd thank the Club for their hospitality and warm welcome and provision of the buffet.

Cilymaenllwyd - From Gentry Home to Nursing Home was launched at Parc Howard on Saturday 16th May 2009. There was a good attendance and the Author gave a short speech and then showed how easy it is to use the CD. The Mayor, along with the Deputy Lady Mayoress were in attendance and expressed interest in the amount of work and time the Cd took to produce. Once again the staff at Parc Howard did us proud and we give them our sincere thanks for allowing us to use the venue.
A big Thank You to all who attended and supported us.

The launch of The Life and Times of Rev Ebenezer Morris took place at Parc Howard, Llanelli, on Saturday 7th October 2006 between 11 am and 2 pm. A short talk was given by the Authors and demonstrations were be given throughout the day. Parc Howard was packed and late arrivals had to stand.

The launch of Melin Mynach - The Old Monks' Mill took place at Gorseinon Library on 21st October 2006. The Mayor of Gorseinon opened the proceedings and the event was covered by the Llanelli Star. Demonstrations of the Cd were given and light refreshments were supplied by Library staff who also put on a display.
Richard Fenton's Tours in Wales is available on Cd. Format is Adobe pdf The original book has been digitised and completely re-made up, but still follows the pagination of the printed work.

Parc Howard, From Mansion to Museum, by William & Benita Rees, was published on September 9th 2004 at Parc Howard. About 130 people attended the launch, the Llanelli Star covered the event and a member of the Welsh Assembly was also present.
The original book was written between 1881 and 1901 at Bridge Street, Llandeilo by David Morgan. In 1909 he was a teacher at Fairfach Council School in Llandeilo.
He was born in Swansea in the 1850s and married a Mary Samuel who lived with her parents John and Catherine in 1861 and with her widowed mother in 1871.
There are
intriguing entries in the 1901, 1891 and 1881 censuses.
The fact that Aldwyth Morgan was an assistant teacher in 1901, for
instance. Was she at Ffairfach?

David Morgan married Mary Samuel the second quarter of 1878 at Llandilofawr.
There are too many possibilities for David Morgan born in the Swansea area to locate him.
The unusual names given to some of the children.
Have found a possible marriage for John Samuel and Catherine Paget at
Llandilofawr the third quarter of 1848 which probably explains the Paget in the
eldest son's name.
