The Stepney Family

One of the books donated to the Llanelly Mechanics Institute, the forerunner of today’s Public Library, on January 23 1883, was Some Notes on The Stepney Family by Robert Harrison, published 1870. This interesting book was donated by Sir Emile Algernon Arthur Keppel Cowell Stepney and a impression inside the front cover states :

The Notes, which were written whilst Colonel Cowell Stepney was still alive, have been edited and abridged in part.

Included is a letter from the Duchess of Bolton to Elizabeth Eleanor Lloyd (heiress of Derwydd and Danyrallt) who married Sir Thomas Stepney, 7th Baronet.
